Cowra Little Athletics athletes returned from the Dubbo competition with smiles, medals, and personal bests.
The event marked a successful outing for the club, with numerous standout performances.
A highlight of the day was Addison Longhurst, who impressed with a gold in the 100m race and a silver in the long jump.
“She’s only eight, so she can’t progress any further this year, but it’ll give her great experience and motivation for next year," Krisha said.

While Addison’s age group doesn’t progress to State this year, she’s set to return next season, and the club is excited for what’s to come.
Krisha shared her pride for Addison, saying, “it puts us on the map”.
“We’re only a small club compared to some of the bigger ones, but to have 10 athletes qualify for the State Championships in March is a huge achievement,
“It’s a big deal for our little Cowra kids,” she said.
A total of 10 Cowra athletes have earned their spots in the upcoming State Championships, an impressive accomplishment for the club.
These athletes will get the chance to compete on the state stage, a moment of pride for the club and the community.
The club's success is a testament to their hard work and focus on community and athlete development.
“We try to provide them with extra training,” she said.
“We have a couple of committee members who coach at a community level, and we expose our athletes to any coaching clinics or opportunities that Little Athletics New South Wales offers,
“We want to give them everything they need to excel,” Krisha said.
Looking ahead, the Cowra Little Athletics club aims to keep building on their success.
“We’re really team-focused, and we want to continue developing the kids at a grassroots level,” Krisha said.
"We hope to expand our registration so we don't have to turn anyone away and hope to see more older kids join us too.”
