Cowra's Lynch's Cookie Co is making $800 cookies for R U OK Day.

Last year the Cowra business donated $565 to the day.

"My goal this year is $800 meaning I will be creating 800 cookies," Courtney Gambrill of Lynch's Cookies said.

$1 from each cookie is donated to R U OK Day

"I have many businesses already behind me including the Cowra Information and Neighbourhood Centre and Cowra High. I would love other businesses to get involved."

RU OK is a day extremely important to Ms Gambrill who has lost a brother and a childhood friend to suicide.

"I am passionate about the day and want to push its importance," she said.

She will be selling cookies at the Cowra Guardian office from August 12.
