Numbers increased slightly and quality was once again good, particularly the heavy lambs which were very well presented.

There were mainly trade and heavy weights penned along with an increased supply of light trades. All the buyers were operating and competition continues to be solid with the market dearer across most grades.

Light trade lambs to the processors sold from $130 to $140 while stores sold from $82 to $ $140 up $6/head. Medium and heavy trade weight lambs were $1 to $5/head dearer and averaged from 775c to 795c/kg cwt.

Heavy trade weight 23 to 24kg sold from $180 to $205/head. Heavy weight lambs were $4 to $8/head dearer mainly due to extra weight being offered and averaged from 795c to 825c/kg cwt. Heavy weights sold from $200 to $215 while extra heavy weight lambs sold from $229 to $270/head.
