Lamb supply increased and quality was more varied this week with the supplementary fed lambs in top condition while the remainder tended to show signs of dryness.
There were mainly trade and heavy weights penned while the lighter grades also in creased in supply. All the buyers were operating and competition was solid on the heavy weights and softer on the secondary lines.
The market held firm for the better quality and eased on the rest of the yarding. Light lambs to the processors were down $7 and sold from $136 to $152 while restockers sold from $50 to $110/head.
Medium and heavy trade weight lambs were $6 to $9/head cheaper and averaged from 730c to 770c/kg cwt. Heavy trade 23 to 24kg sold from $170 to $193/head. Heavy weight lambs held firm and averaged 790c to 810c/kg cwt.
