Mikey McNamara, an up-and-coming cricketer from Cowra/Canowindra, showcased his talent in the ACT T20 Cricket Grand Final, earning the Player of the Match award for his match-winning performance.
The young star, who plays for the Queanbeyan Cricket Club, helped guide his team to victory over Tuggeranong at Manuka Oval last Saturday night.
McNamara’s innings of 58 runs not out from just 49 balls was a key factor in Queanbeyan's chase of 125 runs to win the game.
His performance included multiple boundaries, including a couple of sixes, as well as a strong partnership with teammate and captain Mark Solway.
Together, they contributed 75 runs to the team's total, helping Queanbeyan secure the win in the sixteenth over.

In addition to his work with Queanbeyan, Mikey will also represent the ACT Comets in the national second-eleven competition against Queensland at Philip Oval, starting on Monday 17th February, a four-day game.
Mikey’s dedication to the sport is evident through his rigorous training with both the Queanbeyan Cricket Club and the ACT Comets.
Under the guidance of experienced Queanbeyan cricketing greats Mark Higgs and Peter Solway, Mikey continues to hone his skills.
Supporters from Mikey’s hometown, including Mick Curtale and Scotty Wilson, were on hand at Manuka Oval to cheer him on and enjoy in the spoils of victory.
Their presence added an extra layer of support as Mikey delivered a great performance.
