Cooma North Public School Study Tour

Last week, the CPS Numeracy Leadership Team – Mrs Perfect, Mrs Oborn, Mrs Gibson, Mr Berry and Mrs Hamer - travelled to Cooma to spend 2 days at Cooma North Public School observing some of the fantastic practices the teachers at CNPS are using, in the teaching of mathematics. Cowra PS then welcomed several staff from Cooma North PS for a return visit. While at CPS, the CNPS staff undertook some classroom visits to look at the ways in which our teachers teach mathematics and writing, and in particular, how they differentiate their teaching to support and extend all students in their learning. Study Tours such as this are a wonderful way for schools to share best practice and learn from one another!

Littie Committee – “Reuse Your Shoes”

The CPS Littie Committee would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has sent in donations of shoes for their “Reuse Your Shoes” shoe drive. “Reuse Your Shoes” will finish up this week, culminating with a community Shoe Drive, in partnership with CINC, on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th September in the CINC building. Members of our community are able to drop into the CINC building and pick up a second-hand pair of shoes for free! The Littie Committee have been working hard to reduce the amount of shoes that go into landfill, while at the same time, support our local community.
