There must be something in the water in the Cowra and Canowindra regions because our greyhound trainers are lighting it up across regional NSW sweeping all comers at tracks in Dubbo, Temora, and just about anywhere else they choose to nominate their chargers.
Paul and Pam Braddon rarely leave a Dubbo Greyhound Meeting without a trailer full of winners and Saturday night was no exception with the couple bagging a treble. Flying High clocked 18.47 and made it back to back wins at Dubbo while prolific winner Blazing Ferrero 22.99 took out the Top Grade. Completing the treble, Silvers Fury upset his more favoured kennelmates storming to victory in 23.01 in arguably one of the best runs of the night.
Canowindra Trainer Paul Britt meanwhile also has his kennel firing at the moment preparing another winning treble at the Dubbo Greyhound Meeting Saturday night too. Uncharted Lady 18.47 and Golden Vella 18.39 backed up last weeks stylish victories while Maximum Mobility completed the treble in 18.32 for the Britt family. Like the Braddons, 2024 has been a great year for connections and with some big races still to come no doubt these pages will have more dedications to Braddon, Britt and co.
The Darren Wort Trained Rays Bella was an impressive winner at the Goulburn Greyhound Meeting on Friday , on the quick back up following a solid placing at Temora Wednesday Rays Bella led all the way to score in 19.91. Wort also had Woodshed Albert perform strongly at the Temora Greyhound Meeting last Wednesday too. Jumping smartly, Woodshed Albert scored a post-to-post victory in a nippy 18.89.
And one can't forget Rod Mcdonald. The trainer has had Dana Angus scored his breakthrough victory at the Temora Greyhound Meeting Wednesday past, beginning safely Dana Angus led throughout to score in a tidy 18.95 in a big moment for Mcdonald and the kennel with more races ahead in the warmer months for his greyhounds.
