Last season, Booth took on the dual role of captain and coach to help establish the team, making her appointment for another year a welcome surprise.
"I definitely wasn't expecting Mitchell (Coach) to ask me to captain again, but I was stoked when he did."
Her experience last season provided valuable lessons in leadership.
"I learned to have a bit more patience and that sometimes I need to sit back and watch," she said.
Spending time on the sideline allowed her to analyze gameplay and offer constructive feedback as a player.
Despite these new insights, Booth remains confident in her leadership approach.
"I feel I have a pretty set leadership style, and it works for me."
For Booth, her role extends beyond just leading on the field.
"The most important job I have, apart from leading the team, is to get the best out of all the girls as players," she said.
She also recognises the significance of being a support system for her teammates.
"I want to be the person the girls can come to if they need help with anything, both on and off the field,” she said.
“We have a male coach, so I feel it’s important in a women’s team to have someone like myself that the girls can comfortably raise any issues with if they aren’t comfortable taking them to Mitchell first."
Her leadership philosophy is centered on leading by example.
"It’s about being the first to show up and the last to leave, being involved in all aspects of the club, including after-hours meetings and gatherings," she said.
Booth is committed to supporting her teammates, whether by encouraging those who need extra motivation or helping those who may be struggling.
"I want to be able to help any girls who are struggling and really push those who need it.”
“A lot."
Beyond her leadership duties, Booth takes great pride in the inclusive and welcoming culture of the Cowra Senior Soccer Club.
"The Cowra Senior Soccer Club has to be one of the most inclusive environments I have ever been involved with, and I really cherish that,” he said.
“Being able to lead a team and promote these values as a leader is something pretty special."
Looking ahead, Booth is excited about the opportunity to lead a back-to-back premiership-winning side.
"Now that’s something to be really proud of," she said, eager for the challenges and successes the upcoming season will bring.
