Public engagement took center stage on February 5 as local inspector Thomas Murdoch attended a ‘Come Meet Your Local Police’ event at the Cowra Information and Neighbourhood Centre.

Understanding the importance of open communication, the event provided an opportunity for residents to speak directly with Inspector Murdoch.

Grateful for the strong turnout, several locals took the chance to engage in meaningful conversations.

Inspector Murdoch emphasised his commitment to fostering connections within the community.

"Listening to residents is crucial, and I want them to feel comfortable approaching me with any concerns," he said.

"I believe open communication strengthens trust between police and the public."

Setting his sights on continuity, Inspector Murdoch expressed hope that this initiative would become a regular event.

"This is something I’d like to hold every three months, but people are always welcome to reach out," he added.

Inspired by Cowra’s community spirit, he praised the town’s supportive atmosphere.
