Bowls for 2025 resumed last week with 22 playing social bowls on Wednesday and 23 playing on Saturday, but we had to have a shortened version on Saturday to enable some of the bowlers to attend the 80th Birthday celebrations of one of our popular long-term members. Happy Birthday again Al.
Sunday morning mixed social bowls resumed this week with 8 regulars, plus we welcomed 8 newbies, Nicole, Jen, Tam, Taylia, Vine, Evie, Mark & Belinda, keen to see just how enjoyable bowls can be. We look forward to joining us again next Sunday when you’ll get to play a game. If you would like to join us, phone between 8.45 and 9.15am for a game, play starts at 9.30am.
AUSTRALIA DAY EVENT
Cowra Council will sponsor ($500 prizemoney) an Australia Day Bowls Event at 1pm January 26 at the Cowra Bowling Club. Entry is FREE for everyone that would like to bowl on the day, doesn’t matter if you bowl every week or have never bowled before, everyone is welcome to enjoy an afternoon of bowls. You can register early by calling the club or by putting your name on the sheet at the Club. If you’re unable to decide early you can phone the Bowls Office between 11am and 12pm on the day.

The Open Grade Men’s Triples Championship commences 1st February and the Open Mixed 4’s Championship commences 2nd February, nominations for both events closes 24th January.
