The Cowra Blues are gearing up for the 2025 season with their U17s preseason training, offering local youth the chance to get active, improve their fitness, and make new friends.
Training sessions are held every Tuesday at 6p, at Geoff Day Oval, and all U17s interested in learning how to play AFL or just having a run around are encouraged to attend.
Coach Paul Basham is excited to reintroduce the team, as this is the first year in three or four years that an under-17s team has been formed.
“I guess would be just get them out of the house doing something, get a bit of fitness and make a few friends, hopefully,” Paul said.
“For the next few weeks, a little bit of fitness and then more drills of learning the basics of the game.”
