Students perform at All Schools as Rowston takes gold

Students from St. Raphael's, Cowra High and others from across the region converged on Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre (SOPAC) last week for the NSWCCC Athletics Championships.

There were some outstanding performances from all students however Patrick Rowston was the star of the show competing in the 13 years Boys Discus where he won the gold with a throw of 46.34 metres. Patrick has now qualified for the All Schools Nationals in Brisbane in December after such an incredible result.

Laura Price, who took home a silver in javelin and bronze in discus as well as Karly Woods who cam third in high jump were the stand outs for St. Raph's on a day of intense competition. In total nine students from St. Raph's attended.

In further impressive news, Cowra High's Brody Fiene came second in the 17 years javelin throw and further enhanced his burgeoning reputation as a future star of note with one of his strongest showings in the final.

A big congratulations to all students who attended and performed!
