Cowra Stingrays were represented by Jack Smith, Jackson Smith, Will Berry, Beau Tremble, Grace Kelly-Shepherd, Ruby Moriarty, Evie Smith and Olive Berry in Sydney at Olympic Park to compete in the Country Championships.

Grace and Will competed in an individual event and then they joined forces with fellow Stingrays to compete in the 4man freestyle and Medley relays.

Both teams have qualified to compete at the State Championships in Sydney in March.

Cowra Stingray swimmers are seasonal swimmers who only have the opportunity to hit the water for approximately 6 months a year.

When they compete at these bigger events it is quite an eye opener for our young competitors to witness the strength and competition that surrounds them.

It’s always a great experience for country swimmers and their support for each other is to be commended.
