Cowra Dance Factory’s Mini Stars Combo classes have started the year off filled with energy and enthusiasm. The Mini Stars class, which caters to students from Kindergarten to year 2, is a combo class including Jazz, Hip Hop and Tap. The students have been developing skills such as turns and kicks which are fundamental to jazz technique. In the hip hop portion of classes the students have been working on a new favourite exercise called transport grooves which makes learning hip hop fun and age appropriate. The students are very excited to try on tap shoes next week and begin learning the basics of tap dance technique.

The Mini Stars class is a continuation of the much loved Ready Set Dance preschool syllabus. Mini Stars takes the foundations built in preschool dance and progresses it into school aged students with music specifically written for this age group to keep students engaged and being age appropriate however has a more “grown up” feel to it which the students just love.
