Cowra’s Cooper Pullen will line up with NSW Country in the Under 17 cricket national championships in January.
The championships, which are part of the Australian Cricket Pathway system, will be held in Launceston, Tasmania from January 16 to 23, 2025.
NSW Country are the defending title holders after defeating Western Australia in the 2024 titles held in Ballarat.
"The National Championships are an integral part of the Australian Cricket Pathway system, and we’re delighted our players will have the opportunity to represent their states and territories again this season,” Cricket Australia Head of National Development, Sonya Thomson said.
"There has been an impressive record of players progressing from our underage championships into elite competitions and we look forward to watching the development of this year's group,” she said.
Pullen was selected in the side off the back of his consistency this season which has seen the allrounder put together 300 runs at an average of 27.7 with a top score of 53.
His best score with the bat came for The Kings School first XI against St Ignatius College helping himself to four boundaries and a six on his way to finishing his innings with a strike rate of 69.73..
His season best bowling of 3-29 came in the Sydney grade competition playing for Gordon fifth grade against UTS North Sydney.
He has a bowling average of 23.2 picking up 10 wickets.
He’s been pretty sharp in the field taking four catches and having a hand in three run outs.
