The Cowra and District Cancer Action Group's recent fundraising luncheon was a great opportunity for the Cowra community to come together, drawing in a large crowd of residents committed to supporting those affected by cancer in the region. Held at the Cowra Services Club, the event was a heartwarming testament to the community’s strength, resilience, and generosity.
Taking place at Club Cowra, the lunch featured silent auctions, as well as quite transparent bidding for artworks previously featured at the Little Magpie Gallery. Attendees were treated to a warm, welcoming atmosphere, where they could catch up with friends, enjoy great food, and contribute to an important cause.
As well as bringing people together, the primary goal of the luncheon was to raise vital funds for the Cowra & District Cancer Action Group. The organisation will be entering its twentieth year in 2025, with a record of dedicated work in raising funds and resources for residents and their families suffering from cancer, in need of support. Dedicated to supporting local cancer patients and their families. The group works tirelessly to provide financial assistance, practical help, and emotional support to those battling cancer, making a real difference in the lives of many.

Latest Stories
The silent auctions raised $305 and $168 with the raffle raising $2,120. Overall however, the Cancer Action Group managed to raise $10,168.
Looking ahead, the Cancer Action Group is already planning future events and initiatives to continue raising awareness and funds for local cancer patients. Their work is a vital part of the region's healthcare landscape, and with the community’s continued support, they are poised to make an even greater impact in the years to come.
