The 2024 AFL season has come to a halt but not before the Cowra Blues wrapped up with a presentation to celebrate a successful year for the club.
On top of the Men's Tier 2 title, Cowra Blues also had Brahe Reid and Carla Hill named in the Central West AFLW Team of the Decade with Sarah Day on the interchange bench - a great addition for the Day family after Graeme Clements and Sarah's father, Geoff Day were both inducted into the Hall of Fame from 2021-22.
Justin Kelly again led all comers with an impressive 47 goal haul for the season and another trophy, while Best and Fairest went to Erin Wise in the Women's and John Terry in the Men's. Sarah Day and Jason Masclet were runner up in both categories.
Other winners on the night included - Stacey Clark for Most Consistent as well as the Coaches Award she shared with Samone Hyland. Katie Clements was most improved while Best Back was Emma Nobes and Sarah Day took home another Players' Player.
In the Men's, John Terry also nabbed the Players' Player to go with his Best and Fairest gong while Caleb Worth (Most Consistent) and Mason Bright (Most Potential) also had wins. Eddie Harmer Clark took out the Coaches Award while Jack Stott was Best Back and Robert Flick Gibbs was Most Improved in a stand out year.
