While Alicia Earsman may have been the spotlight last week in rugby league circles, two other outstanding young Canowindra ladies have also made their mark in the sport.

Canowindra league legends, Ellie and Adison Newcombe have also been burning a trail in the refereeing and playing ranks respectively with Adison playing for Cowra PYCYC at the tournament while Ellie not only officiated but was chosen to adjudicate the decider in Sydney for the Nations of Origin league competition.

Ellie also designed the Canowindra Tigers’ shorts for the recent Indigenous round which were well-received by players and coaches.
