Explaining the offence Blundell, 34, of West Street, Grenfell told the court he had gone off the rails at the time of the offence following a medical diagnosis.

Finding the offence against Blundell, proven magistrate Rana Daher convicted him of the offence, fining him $700.

At the time Blundell was in a vehicle with two other people one of whom, located in the rear seat, was known to police for drug possession.

When police stopped the vehicle they observed movement between the driver and another person in the front seat.

Asked if he had anything on him he answered “yes” and handed police a bag containing 7.1 grams of Ice.

When police searched the front seat passenger they found 8.1 grams of Ice on the front seat seat passenger.

Blundell told police the drug belonged to him.

“That’s mine, its Ice, I gave it to her when we stopped, that’s why you saw us moving,” Blundell told police.
