UrVoice Australia helps Cabonne youth

UrVoice Australia is a youth-led mental health organisation committed to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of high school students.

The organisation envisions a schooling system that actively promotes support for students facing mental health and wellbeing challenges.

UrVoice Australia's mission is to advocate for an education system that strikes the right balance between addressing mental health, wellbeing concerns and alleviating the burden on teachers, wellbeing staff and school executives.

Applications are now open for the inaugural Youth Ambassador Program (YAP), which offers high school students in years 10 to 12 the chance to use their lived experiences to help improve the education system.

The organisation is seeking young people to share their experiences, perspectives, and insights to shape projects, campaigns, and research efforts.

This program is a valuable leadership opportunity for students, focusing on upskilling participants, empowering them to use their voices to advise and co-create initiatives and policy positions, while mentoring them in their advocacy journey.

YAP is a 10 week online program that runs through Term 4 and includes two hour weekly Zoom workshops in the evening.

For those who know young people that might be a great fit for the program, UrVoice Australia encourages them to apply.
