Transport for NSW is carrying out essential maintenance work along the Mid Western Highway, removing and replacing asphalt and damaged road surfaces from the intersection between Lachlan and Kendal streets, as well as Lachlan and Redfern Streets.
The work will occur between 7pm and 5am Sunday to Friday, from Thursday, August 22 taking six nights to complete, weather permitting.
TfNSW acknowledges there may be temporary impact to vehicle and pedestrian access whilst the work is carried out, with changes to the flow of traffic to ensure the safety of road workers.
Vehicles should be parked off street prior to the commencement of work at 7pm each night for the duration of the works.
The road will remain open with a single lane closure, intermittent stop/go and 40km/hr speed limit.
Motorists are advised to allow up to five minutes extra travel time.
For 3 nights, weather permitting, traffic will be stopped intermittently on both approaches to the bridge, between the hours of 11pm and 4am to allow repair and asphalting work on the bridge.
There may also be road detours in place during these work hours. Please keep to speed limits and follow the direction of traffic controllers and signs.
