An elderly driver of a white Toyota Corolla was lucky escape serious injury after she tried to turn into Lachlan Fertilizers Rural off Lachlan Valley Way and was struck by a blue Ford Mondeo heading towards Cowra last week.

It was the second motor vehicle accident in Cowra within an hour and destroyed both cars. No one from either vehicle was injured during the incident.

Motorists experienced short traffic delays in both directions while emergency services personnel including police attended the scene and crews cleaned the debris.

Police remind motorists to take care on our roads and be mindful of other motorists and people using our roads during the busy lead up to Christmas.
