Cowra Police are continuing inquiries after charging a 20 year-old and a 17 year-old allegedly involved in a series of break and enters in Cowra recently.
Police issued a statement on Monday announcing a teen was expected to face court after being charged following an investigation into multiple property-related offences in the state's Central West.
The teen is one of two people charged after officers attached to Chifley Police District commenced an investigation into multiple reports of break-ins in the Cowra Central Business District between July and August, 2024.
Police said that after making inquiries, about 10.20am on Friday, August 2 2024, they had arrested and charged a 20-year-old man, and he remains before the courts.
Following further inquiries, about 1.10pm on Friday, August 9, 2024, police attached to Chifley Police District attended a home in Cowra.
A 17-year-old boy found at the property was arrested and taken to Cowra Police Station.
He was charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling in company steal under $60000, be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, and breach of bail.
The teen was refused bail and appeared at a Children's Court on Friday, August 9 2024, where he was formally refused bail.
He was expected to reappear at another Childrens court last Monday, August 12, 2024.
