Cowra's Lady Golfers showcased their skills and competitive spirit during the 27 Hole Stroke Championships held on Wednesday. Sponsored by Cowra Carpet Court, the event was marked by splendid Spring weather and a golf course in pristine condition, creating the perfect backdrop for some impressive golfing performances.
Division Winners:
Division 1: Jenny Dresser and Sue Smith took home the top honours with a stellar performance.
Nett Division 1: Cheryl McKeown and Kath Fitzsimmons excelled, showcasing their prowess and strategic play.
Division 2: Trish Moekerkan and Lorraine Stubbing emerged as the champions, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and skill.
Nett Division 2: Marcia Macpherson and Carole Doyle secured the win with their impressive handicapped scores.

Looking ahead, the excitement continues with the Western Districts Lady Golfers Finals set to take place at Wellington today, Thursday, September 19, 2024. The Cowra Pennants Team, consisting of Carmel Mansell, Jenny Dresser, Cheryl McKeown, Pip Bishop, and Trish Moekerkan, will be competing against Duntryleague Orange in the finals. Best of luck to the team as they aim to bring home the trophy!
Additionally, Cowra's Eileen Wilson, the Cowra Lady Golf Champion of 2024, will represent the club in the Champion of Champions finals. Meanwhile, Debbie Gumley and Carole Doyle will be competing in the Silver Spoons Finals.
