There was ice cream and fizzy drinks, chocolates and horse riding, not to mention plenty to for the kids and lots to look at for dad!

The Woodstock Memorial Show has been and gone for another year and from all reports, this may well have been the best since COVID if not the best on record!

Woodstock Show committee member, Linda Woods, said that it looked like there was more people there this year.

"The weather was great and there was plenty to do," she said.

"The Father's Day Hungry Hippo's Challenge was fun as was the woodchopping and sawing.

"I think people are drawn to it because not only is there plenty do but it also affordable."

With record entries in numerous categories this year, the Woodstock Memorial Show is a strong example of a successful show event and why there is still a place for these agricultural shows on the regional calendar.

"There was so much to do and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves!"

Or in other words, a quacking good time was had by all!
