Cowra Pony Club recently head they AGM and we are proud to introduce the new committee for 2025!
Jason Gavenlock retained the position of president while Donna Tindal filled the role of Vice President. Katie Gavenlock has done a superb job as secretary and has remained in her position and April Campbell was appointed treasurer.
The Committee discussed how successful 2024 had been and how great it was to see our numbers grow. Covid and the Nov ‘22’ flood had such an impact on our club and we are now starting to return to our feet.
Jason & Katie have been very proactive in getting the club back out in the community and they were successful in securing a council grant of $2000 that would see the installation of a new hot water system that will be utilised by both CPC & Cowra RDA.
Cowra Pony Club was also invited to attend a number of Cowra Rotary Club meetings and were honoured to receive $3000 to purchase a brand new arena rake that will be used to maintain the new undercover arena that has now entered the final stages of construction. The funding of the arena was provided to Cowra RDA which is sure to be a huge asset for the equine community of Cowra!

The Christmas Festival on Friday 6th of December was another great opportunity to get our Club back into the spotlight! With great prizes donated by JG Arbor, Carrington Meats & Team Mackillop Equestrian, as well as the very popular $2 lucky dip & of course the photo opportunities with Shiloh the pony, Cowra Pony Club was able to raise $415 that will go to updating and replacing equipment that was lost or damaged from the floods!
Cowra Pony Club hopes 2025 will bring an influx of new riders with further plans of community involvement such as talk of arranging a charity ride, where the proceeds will be donated back to a charity that has yet to be decided. Rally days a set to resume late February however the opportunity to attend twilight rallies in January will be available to all financial 2025 members.
