Canowindra Christmas Show recheduled

With brutal humidity, thunder and dark clouds on the horizon, Canowindra Progress Association made the tough decision to postpone the Canowindra Christmas show, after poor weather and SES storm warnings emerged across the region over the past weekend.

Cabonne Deputy Mayor Jamie Jones went on to thank the Progress Association for their hard work in organising and setting up the show, and turned on the Christmas lights, wishing the people of Canowindra a Merry Christmas.

President of the Canowindra Progress Association, Tom Beath told the Canowindra News and Cowra Guardian that the markets, now set to run on Friday the 13th of December, were still a great opportunity for the town to come together and celebrate.

"We'll have over fifty market stalls supplying food and gifts, two live bands," he said, adding "there'll be jumping castles, axe throwing, and a bar opening up on the street from 5pm."

"Good for morale, get out and socialise - it'll be a great opportunity whether you're local or from out of town to meet and greet eachother."
