Blues seek revenge on Bathurst in big dance

The Cowra Blues Men's Tier Two team will be out for revenge when they play Bathurst this weekend for the Central West AFL Tier Two Men's flag.

Cowra, who have been streets ahead of all comers, all year, slipped on a banana skin in the major-semi against their big city rivals allowing a third quarter lead to slip as they went down for their first loss of the season.

As a result, the Blues had to contend with Orange Tigers, who had also caused some trouble for Cowra throughout the year, but there was to be no fairytale for the Tigers, as Cowra got to work.

Cowra's defence was arguably the best it had been all year, restricting the Tigers to only two behinds for three quarters after scores were delicately poised after the opening stanza. Such tireless defending will need to be replicated again this weekend if Cowra are get their vengeance over Bathurst, who are a much faster outfit than Orange.

Should the Blues get the nod this weekend it will cap an incredible year but they'll have to beat the Bushrangers on their own turf first.

Let's go Blues!
