"The Anzac Day Tribute is a special commemoration which provides a deeply inspiring moment to recognise our fallen, returned and currently serving military personnel," Tribute patron General Sir Peter Cosgrove said.
Michael, who is the son of Christine and Bill Murphy OAM, was assistant producer of the tribute and also sang.
He attended St Raphael's in Cowra and was a music student of Maree McKay and the late Joan Ford.
Alongside Anna Stephens, Rebecca O'Hanlon and Ben Caulkwell, Michael sang We Will Stand Together accompanied by the Tribute's full orchestra and choir.
A member of the artistic team as assistant director Michael Murphy is an accomplished musician and educator.
This year marked his fourth Anzac Day Tribute.
His musical journey has included singing for the Sydney 2000 Olympics Closing Ceremony, in La Madeline (Paris), as well as working with the world renown Vienna Boys Choir.
As a conductor, he has directed choirs both in Australia and abroad.
On Anzac Day he remembers his great grandfather, Pt Burr 2nd/2nd Machine Gunners who was killed in action in New Guinea.
Featured artists at the tribute included Normie Rowe AM, Anthony Field AM, Patricia Amphlett OAM, Christine Anu, Neil Pigot and Mark Vincent.
The band of the 4/3 Battalion Royal NSW Regiment also took part.
