The Foundation has an annual large-scale fundraiser each year and was this year helped by Jenni Fagan of Mulyan, who is also on the committee of the Cowra Education Foundation, Ruth Fagan of The Closet, who hosted a fashion parade on the day, Barry Doyle, who gave a phantom call, Martins, who donated a TV on which to watch the famous race and Terry Lovett, who provided the microphone for the day.
Joan Hurst, from the Cowra Education Foundation, and Jenni Fagan organised the fundraiser.
The Cowra Education Foundation was started in November 2001 and so far there have been 48 recipients of financial assistance totalling $48,000.
The Foundation aims to involve the Cowra community in lifting the education and career opportunities of its younger members by providing financial assistance, encouragement and support.
The Foundation's objective is to seek and administer funds to assist young people to achieve their goals in trade, study or personal development.
Applications for further education assistance are called for annually from school leavers and those wishing to further their education up to 21 years of age.
